We are a FREE website that helps take the uncertainity out of finding a local service provider, such as a plumber, builder, handyman, etc. Our listings can only be created by consumers, like yourself, by creating service provider profiles, rating them through a 5 star system and writing an ANONYMOUS review.

As the listings grow for your community, this will become a valuable consumer reference since you can research service providers before hiring. Whether you decide to hire the service provider or not, you can share the experience by writing a review and rating. It's like asking for references from the service provider, but the provider has no control over which references are provided. We are in NO WAY funded by service providers. Village Stars is about helping the consumer therefore a customer only driven site.

Unlike other similar sites, we are totally FREE and will not charge a subscription fee once your community database grows.

Please remember that this is a consumer driven site. It's usefulness is driven by the participation of the community therefore sharing your experiences and ratings are very important.

I bought a 2 year old snowmobile off them. I was hesitant buying a used product from a rental shop, but they assured me that the machine was well maintained and invited me to speak to their mechanic and review maintenance records. I did and he convinced me it was a good machine. Sure enough, I bought it and have been happily snowmobiling for a couple of years now with no problems whatsoever.

I bought a Yamaha Kodiak 450 from these folks in 2007. They were the best price around and stand behind their product. It's a busy place and the salesman seemed to have a million things going on at once.. calls from customers, people picking up product they just bought, etc... must of just hit it on a busy day. Overall, I was happy with my purchase. The negotiated somewhat on price and threw in a few things. They actually prepped the bike while I was waiting and had it ready for me same day. I was pretty happy about that.

Sears - Fairview Mall

A couple of years ago, I bought a new washer and dryer from Sears in Kitchener. The washer was one of those side loaders that use less water. I really didn't like it since it took forever to get my loads done. I was sitting at my in-laws about one year later and mentioned how I wish I didn't buy that model. My brother-in-law told me to call them and let them know that I wasn't happy and would like a different model. Sure enough and to my shock, they gave me full credit for the set and allowed me to pick a new set. I was blown away by their service... I couldn't believe it. I'm a life time customer now.

Hobden's Small Engines

I've purchased a few items off these folks over the years. I bought a Stihl chainsaw and a Toro Snowblower. I found them to have the best deals at the time I was shopping and they service their products. Nothing worse than buying these types of items at the big box stores then being told you have to contact the manufacturer for service. Hobden's takes care of you and that's why I keep going back.
